Released in July of 2022 by Pinterest, the Shuffles app is taking the social media world by storm. First started as an invite-only app, Shuffles was quickly popularized on TikTok. The initial availability only via a special code sent to selected people created lots of hype online and a huge demand for the app.
What Does The Shuffles App Do?
This collage-making app allows users to create mood boards and other image collections to share with friends and online. Shuffles is making the art of collaging social!
Users can make collages out of stickers, photos, text, paint, and other elements in the simple app that feels similar to Canva. When stickers or pictures are placed on a collage (called a Shuffle), Pinterest can link to the original image to provide more information about it. If the collage contains product images, users may be able to click on them and make purchases via Pinterest if the items are available for sale on the platform.
How Is Shuffles Useful To Businesses?
Because this app directly links back to Pinterest, there is a good chance businesses can link those Pins to their own store/site, which means Shuffles can be perfect for online shopping and showcasing your product more aesthetically. Like displays in brick-and-mortar stores, Shuffles can similarly display online products.
As of November 2022, the Shuffles app is only available to iOS (Apple) users, but is sure to expand to other operating systems as mainstream adoption grows. Gen Z, especially, has embraced the simplicity of the app in allowing easy creation of meaningful visuals that can be animated or paired with music.
